Forwards Assistant Coach

Canterbury Rugby is seeking to appoint a Forwards Assistant Coach for the 2026 NPC Programme. Working alongside the Head Coach and wider management group, the successful candidate will deliver world-class forwards coaching to elite provincial athletes preparing for the demands of NPC and professional rugby.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Delivery and execution of set piece skills, including scrum, lineout, and kick restarts.

·       Contribution to overall team preparation, planning, and performance outcomes.

Expectations of Candidates:

Experience:     2-3yrs of coaching Provincial, Super or International Rugby

Leadership:     Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and deliver high-performance rugby programs.

Innovation:     Ability to be athlete-centred and innovative in coaching approaches    

Connection:     Add to a sense of life-long belonging and community within the organisation.
